Academic Competitions and Activities
  • Musical Sets: Students have the opportunity to put their artistic talents to good use by designing and painting all of the sets for the school musical in April.
  • McKeesport Festival of Trees: A traditional event held at Renzie Park in which participants decorate a Christmas tree and display their holiday spirit for everyone to see.  Prizes are also awarded in various categories, such as creativity, service, etc.  In art class, each student has the opportunity to create a themed ornament that will then be hung on Serra's tree.  Serra students won 1st place in the service category in 2009 and 2010!
