On November 14, 2013, Ms. DeSalvo's Advanced Biology class traveled to Carnegie Mellon University to learn more about cancer and hereditary disorders.  While at CMU, the class compared regular cells and cancer cells, made a pedigree for Li Frameni syndrome, and used gel elecrophoresis to compare the DNA of a cancer patient and a non-affected person.
