January 22 marked the date on which abortion became legal in the United States, so this year, twenty-five students, accompanied by Mr. Childs, Mrs. Fox, Mr. and Mrs. Whitney, Mr. Borkowski,  and Fr. Tom Lewandowski, journeyed to Washington, D.C. to peacefully protest abortion. The day began with Fr. Tom offering Mass for everyone attending the trip as well as faculty, staff and parents. During Mass, Fr. Tom reminded everyone of the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. Fr. Tom also cautioned the students to remember that they are called to actively serve the poor in need. Following Mass, students enjoyed a homemade breakfast provided by Mr. and Mrs. Sigg. Once in D.C., students spent time listening to Christian music and praying before marching the route to the Supreme Court Building. In front of the Supreme Court Building, students formed a circle and joined hands while they prayed for the victims of abortion, the families of those suffering, and for an end to abortion. Please continue to keep their efforts in your prayers.
