Penny Drive for Life!

Each year, Serra Catholic students support local charities through the "Penny Drive for Life", a fundraiser that takes place during the lunch periods.  From Monday, October 21 through Thursday, October 24, students can donate spare change towards the fund in an attempt to win a free dress-down day!  Pennies count as positive points for each respective grade, while any other money (nickels, dimes, quarters, dollar bills) counts as negative points against each grade's point count.  This makes for a friendly competition between grades each year.

The "winner's format" changed slightly this year and the rules are as follows: Instead of a week-long dress-down for the winners at the end of the week, we will have a winner for each day. Therefore, all grades have to "earn" each dress-down day. For example, if the Juniors are in the lead at the end of the day on Monday, then the Juniors win one day of dress-down. However, if the Seniors are in the lead at the end of the day on Tuesday, then the Seniors win one day of dress-down. Since students will be competing for four days, four dress-down days will be awarded the following Tuesday through Friday. Save your pennies for your class and other change for other classes!
