“What a game on Friday night as the Eagles took on the East Allegheny Wildcats in a match up that would determine second place in the Three Rivers Conference and a home game for the first round of the playoffs. The defense played great all night with many key stops. The Eagles went in at the half down seven to nothing, and then everything changed. In the second half the Wildcats scored to go up 14 to nothing before Malik Edmundson stepped in front of a pass and return the interception 55 yards for a touchdown. The Eagles surrendered another score to go down 21 to 7 midway through the fourth quarter but made a miraculous comeback. With six minutes remaining in the game, Evan Honick connected with JaQuae Jackson for a 40 yard touchdown to bring the score to 21 to 14. After a great defense of stop, Honick and Jackson hooked up again this time on a 41 yard completion to set the Eagles up with first and go from the 3 yard line. Khalil Smith bullied his way into the end zone and Brandon Borek made the extra point to tie the score at 21. The defense held strong and took the game into overtime where the Eagles had possession first. On the very first play, Evan Honick connected with Bre’Shaun Brown on a 15 yard pass. Brown was determined to get into the end zone and broke four tackles on his way to the score. Borek’s extra point made the game 28-21 in favor of the Eagles. The Wildcats scored on their third attempt to bring the score 28 to 27 and decided to go for two. Khalil Smith and Bre’Shaun Brown combined on a tackle at the 1 yard line, preventing the two point conversion and sealing the win for the Eagles. With the win the Eagles locked up second place in the conference and will have a home game this Friday night at the nest with the opponent to be determined tonight at 7 o’clock at the playoff pairing meeting.

The Eagles would like to ask for a huge student and fan section for this game and are hoping to see the biggest crowd of the season come out for this game. Go Eagles 🦅”
