Serra Softball Loses to Burrell

posted May 10, 2017, 11:53 AM by Sandra Barbieri
Your Serra Catholic Softball Team lost a close game to Burrell yesterday afternoon 11-10.  The Eagles played stout defense and were extremely disciplined at the plate only striking out twice while walking ten times.  The Eagles offense was led by Lauren Kolenik who went two for three with a double and three RBIs and Theresa Terlecki who went one for four with four RBIs.  Also contributing were Madison Carr who went two for five with an RBI and Nina Grandey who went two for three.  Lizzie Fite and Micayla Kelly pick up an RBI a piece.  On a special note, Simone Jahn stole four bases yesterday.  Her fourth stolen base was also her 22nd of the season breaking the Serra Catholic, single season, stolen base record.  Congratulations Simone!  The Eagles are back in action Thursday afternoon when they travel to Bishop Canevin.  GO EAGLES!!
