Softball, Baseball, and Track Athletes

Spring sports physicals / recertifications are due on

Thursday Feb 20. Winter break is Feb 24-March 2, so please get your paperwork in before break. If your physical is scheduled for winter break, please email your packet to [email protected] after it is complete. You cannot start spring practices on March 3 without your paperwork being turned in, complete, and correct.

There are 4 options to complete your paperwork:

1. If you have not played a sport at Serra yet this school year, please go to the tab that says "full physical" in its title. Your physical has to have been done after May 1, 2024 to work for this school year.

2. If you have played soccer, football, volleyball, golf, cross country, basketball, bowling, or cheerleading and were not injured, go to the "parent-guardian recertification form" tab. No medical provider signature is needed....just a parent/guardian and a student signature.

3. If you played something this fall or winter and were unfortunately sick or injured, go to the medical provider recertification form. The medical provider that took care of you has to fill this out. (If you were injured and returned to your fall or winter sport as per doctor's orders, then you need the "parent-guardian recertification form.")

4. Also, if your spring sports physical was performed / re-certified / paperwork filled out earlier than late January 2024, please also turn in a current "parent-guardian recertification form." This just tells me your information is still current from your physical done after May 1, 2024.

You cannot participate as of Monday March 3 without a fully filled out, valid physical or proper recertification papers.

Spring Open House – March 13th

 

Please invite any friends or family that have students (5th, 6th, 7th and 8th) beginning to think about high school or students considering transferring to Serra to our Spring Open HouseThursday, March 13th 6:30-8:00 pmFamilies will have the opportunity to discuss curriculum and extracurricular offerings with our administration, faculty, coaches, and students. PLACEMENT TEST ~ Saturday, March 15th

If you know of an eighth grade student who is planning on attending Serra for the 2025-26 school year, please let the family know that the placement test for incoming freshmen will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 8:45-Noon. For more information please contact

Serra Catholic proudly offers several scholarship opportunities to current students. The deadline for Serra Scholarships is Friday, March 14, 2025. All scholarships must be received in the main office by that date.

Once there click on the Admissions Tab, scroll down, click Tuition and Financial Aid, scroll down and to the right click on Scholarships. Click the button for each scholarship you would like to print. Make sure to print a Scholarship Cover page and the Teacher Recommendation page. Please carefully read the directions and criteria for each of the scholarships. Please note that Serra faculty recommendations are submitted online. Contact Mrs. Lyons in the Admissions Office at [email protected] or 412-751-2020 x134 with any questions.

 

Message from the Business Office

The Serra Catholic Business Office would like to inform you that applications for tuition assistance in the 2025-2026 school year are now being accepted. To be considered for tuition assistance, we ask that you please complete the 2025-2026 FACTS financial aid application, the link for which can be found on our school website. The deadline to complete the application is March 17th, 2025

.

 

 

Families will be required to provide their 2023 and 2024 tax documents with their application. If your 2024 tax documents are not completed yet, you are welcome to begin the application and upload your 2024 documents when they are completed. If you are having difficulties uploading your tax documents,please contact the FACTS helpline at (866)-315-9262.

Musical Ad Sale 2024

This spring, Serra Catholic is proud to present Peter Pan! If you or someone you know owns a small business, you can purchase a program ad to help support our show! Small ads are $50, medium ads are $75, and full page ads are $150. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Cassie Fedor at [email protected]. All ads are due back to the business office by March 14th.

WINTER ATHLETIC SPORTS FEE

To continue our tradition of excellence in athletics, we require all families of student athletes to pay an athletic fee based on how many sports are played, according to the following schedule:

One Sport: $100.00

Two Sports: $125.00

Three Sports: $150.00

Please note that this is a mandatory school fee and is in addition to any team’s booster club’s activity fee. Please submit your payment to the main office by Friday, February 28th. Please indicate on the envelope your child’s name, grade, and the sport(s) they are participating in. If you have already paid for your fall sport, you only need to pay for your winter sport. If you have yet to pay your fall sports fee, we ask that you please pay it at this time. If you have already paid this fee for the year, thank you very much and you may disregard this message. If you have any questions concerning your child’s sports fee, please contact Ms. Cassie Fedor at [email protected].

The cast and crew of the musical need your help with their next fundraiser. Peter needs to fly over the clock tower to Neverland but he needs your help.
